I kind of like the idea of having a gray background. Elephants only come in two colors, gray and pink. I'm not too keen on pink elephants.

Is that a reference to Walt Disney's "Phantasia"?
Some Republicans do embrace the pink elephant symbol though...the LFRW used to have a picture of a large pink one on their website back in the day...

Hey, what happened to the site's unique gray background? My screen emits a blue-ish background now. Only ONE person--an anonymous poster, at that--complained about the gray color previously...and now it is changed. I make a motion that it be changed back to gray!

Honestly, I found it hard to read too, especially when I was making a post or reply, had to look really closely at the monitor to make sure I wasn't spelling things wrong or something. This is much better.

I really like the site... tweaking the color one way or the other is fine, but gray or black is not really warm, welcoming colors.
